Jeff Castner: A Way Of Life

Jeff Castner knows better than most that in Indiana, basketball is a way of life. He is a huge fan of the Indiana Pacers, and remembers the Reggie Miller era very fondly. Reggie Miller spent his entire eighteen year NBA career playing for the Pacers, and is remembered as one of the league's all-time greats.

The Pacers got off to their best start ever in the 2013-2014 NBA season, going eleven-and-one in their first twelve games, and made it into the playoffs. But in the Eastern Conference Finals, the Pacers were unable to stop the Miami Heat, who eliminated them in six games. The Heat were then the fist team to advance to the NBA finals four years in a row since the Boston Celtics did it between 1984 and 1987. In the end, though, the Heat could not stop the San Antonio Spurs, who won the 2014 National Basketball Association crown.

But Jeff Castner is confident that the Indiana Pacers are once again in ascendance. The coming NBA season could be another winner for the team. Jeff Castner has begun to personally write a sports blog in which he shares his thoughts about the Indiana Pacers and the other sports teams that he is interested in.

Basketball really is a way of life in Indiana, as Jeff Castner knows. One of its most famous basketball products is the late John Wooden, the former UCLA basketball coach who won an amazing ten NCAA championships over a twelve year period. As Jeff Castner knows, John Wooden grew up in a small town south of Indianapolis, near Martinsville.
